Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (Kenton area)
Hours: 6 hours per week to be used flexibly
Rate of Pay: £14.00 per hour
Purpose of the Job
The purpose of this job is to support my son Zion, an 8-year-old boy with Downs Syndrome who is full of energy and loves to be out and about. He enjoys activities such as trampolining, soft play, and the sensory room at the Tim Lamb Centre. Zion also likes going to the cinema, depending on the film, and he delights in going for a milkshake.

About Zion
- Zion is very affectionate and likes to be cuddled.
- He communicates using single words and will say "no" if he doesn’t like something.
- Zion has no awareness of danger and wears reins. The Personal Assistant (PA) always has to be vigilant when out and about.
Ideal Candidate
The family would like a PA who is enthusiastic with a genuine interest and enjoyment in working with children. Experience of working with disabled children is preferred.

Requirements
- This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS check and references, which will be taken up if you are offered the post.
- At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
