About Sonder

We’re Sonder. We build personal brands for senior business leaders, from startup founders to executives at the world’s largest companies.

Our human-led approach harnesses the full LinkedIn ecosystem and complementary channels to build visibility, authority, and trust.

We’re looking for an experienced Personal Brand Strategist to build and oversee the strategies behind our clients’ personal brands.

Our Culture – A Snapshot

  • Learning. You’ll gain exposure to the wisdom and insights of international clients at the top of their industries. At Sonder, every day is a school day.
  • Transparency. We believe in open leadership. We share openly about finances, strategy, and the decisions we make, often making those decisions together. This means you don’t just learn your craft, but also how to build and manage a business.
  • Growth. If you want to grow quickly, you can and will at Sonder. You’ll be joining a growing company with the opportunity to grow alongside it, take on greater strategic responsibility, build and lead your own team, and play a meaningful role in shaping how Sonder delivers personal brand strategy globally.
  • Team Spirit. Everyone at Sonder has a seat at the table and a voice that’s heard. We hold each other accountable, support one another, and ultimately win, and lose, together.
  • Flexibility. We trust our people to manage their time in a way that works best for them. We focus on output, not presenteeism, giving you the freedom to do your best work, wherever you are.

Experience

We’re looking for someone with strong experience in brand strategy, personal branding, communications or a closely related strategic discipline, combined with a strong understanding of LinkedIn.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • You should be able to take a complex individual, understand who they are, what makes them distinctive and what they want to achieve, and translate that into a clear and actionable personal brand strategy.
  • You’ll also understand how LinkedIn works as a distribution and relationship-building platform, and be comfortable using data to assess performance and evolve strategy over time.
  • Experience with other channels, particularly Instagram, TikTok or Substack, would be valuable, but isn’t essential.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Objectives & strategy. Understand what each client wants their personal brand to achieve and build a strategy around it, whether that’s visibility & authority, business development, or another objective.
  • Research & positioning. Research each client, their career, business, industry, competitors and wider market. Identify the expertise, experiences, perspectives, personality and USPs that differentiate them, and translate these into clear positioning and a compelling brand narrative.
  • Audience strategy. Identify and understand priority audiences: who the client needs to reach, what matters to those people, and how the client can build visibility, authority and trust with them.
  • Content & messaging strategy. Develop content and messaging frameworks, tone of voice and content pillars that define what clients should talk about, how they should communicate, and give our internal teams a clear foundation for execution.
  • LinkedIn strategy. Translate the wider brand strategy into LinkedIn, including profile positioning, content, and audience development.
  • Analytics & optimisation. Establish appropriate KPIs and analyse performance across impressions, engagement, audience demographics, follower and connection growth, connection acceptance, response rates and commercial opportunities. Turn that data into practical recommendations and continually evolve strategy based on what we learn.
  • Strategy management. Own client strategies beyond their initial creation. Work closely with our consultants, copywriters, and wider team to ensure they’re being executed effectively, with regular internal and client check-ins to review performance and make strategic adjustments.
  • Client advisory. Build trusted relationships with senior clients, clearly communicating strategic recommendations and confidently challenging their thinking when appropriate.

Key Qualities

  • Strategic. You can take a large amount of information and turn it into a clear, differentiated and commercially relevant strategy.
  • Perceptive. You’re good at understanding people and identifying the characteristics, experiences and perspectives that make someone interesting.
  • Analytical. You’re comfortable with data and can distinguish meaningful signals from vanity metrics.
  • Commercial. You understand that a personal brand should ultimately support a real objective, not simply generate attention.
  • Curious. You enjoy learning about new people, industries and ideas, and asking the questions that uncover what others might miss.
  • Confident. You’re comfortable advising founders, CEOs and senior executives and challenging their thinking when appropriate.
  • A strong communicator. You can articulate complex strategic thinking simply, both internally and to clients.
  • Proactive. You take ownership, identify opportunities and continually look for ways to improve our work.

Practical Expectations

  • Role is full-time (5 days / 40 hours per week).
  • Flexible working hours and location. We care about output, not where or when you log in.
  • This role is offered on a self-employed contractor basis. We can provide full setup guidance and ongoing support to ensure a smooth working relationship.
