Personal Development (PD) Facilitator

Are you passionate about delivering engaging learning experiences that help learners develop the skills, confidence and resilience needed to succeed in education, employment and life? This is an exciting opportunity to deliver a dynamic PD curriculum that supports learner success and prepares students for their future ambitions.

As a PD Facilitator, you will plan, prepare and deliver high-quality, learner-centred sessions to groups of learners across the College. Using creative and innovative approaches, you will facilitate engaging discussions, debates and collaborative activities that develop critical thinking, personal growth and employability skills.

You will create an inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and learner voice, helping students explore topics such as wellbeing, equality and diversity, British Values, finance, digital awareness and progression planning. Through effective facilitation, you will support learners to develop the knowledge, behaviours and attitudes needed to thrive as confident and responsible global citizens.

Working within the College's PD framework, you will develop learning resources, monitor learner engagement and contribute to the continuous improvement of the PD curriculum. You will work closely with curriculum and Student Services teams to support learners who may face barriers to achievement, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance and support.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator, facilitator or trainer who is committed to delivering innovative and impactful learning experiences that make a lasting difference to learners' personal development, progression and future success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging PD sessions that encourage participation and discussion.
  • Create and maintain high-quality learning resources and activities.
  • Promote wellbeing, citizenship, digital awareness and progression planning.
  • Monitor learner engagement, identify barriers to learning and refer learners to appropriate support services (where required).
  • Work collaboratively with facilitators, tutors, curriculum leaders and wider college teams to support learner success.
  • Contribute to PD curriculum development and quality improvement activities.

Essential Criteria

  • A relevant vocational or professional qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Experience of working with learners in a teaching, tutoring, mentoring or coaching capacity, with the ability to support both individuals and groups.
  • Ability to use ICT effectively within learning environments and facilitate blended learning sessions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to delivering a learner-centred experience and working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Understanding of teaching and learning within group sessions, learner support needs, safeguarding in further and higher education, and the development of learners’ personal development, behaviour and attitudes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
