Company Description
The Welsh Rugby Players' Association (WRPA) is a not-for-profit registered trade union and the collective voice of professional rugby players in Wales, founded in 2003. Its membership includes current players from the four professional regions—Cardiff Rugby, Scarlets, Ospreys, and Dragons, as well as Wales Women, alumni members, and current Welsh internationals playing outside Wales. The WRPA exists to represent, develop, promote, and protect the collective and individual interests of its members throughout and beyond their playing careers. Role Description
The Personal Development Manager – Cardiff Rugby will provide dedicated support to professional players at Cardiff Rugby to help them plan and progress their personal, educational, and career development. This full-time, on-site role in Wales, United Kingdom involves delivering one-to-one guidance, running workshops, and coordinating development programmes that address life skills, education, vocational training, and transition planning for life after rugby.

- Building strong relationships with players, coaches, and support staff
- Identifying individual development needs
- Connecting players with suitable courses, training providers, and external partners
- Monitoring progress
- Maintaining accurate records
- Reporting on outcomes
- Contributing to wider WRPA initiatives and best practice across the regions
- Collaborating with stakeholders to promote player welfare, wellbeing, and professional standards
