Job Title: Solicitor – Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence

Location: Birmingham (City Centre)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
PQE Level: 0–3 years (or CILEX qualified)

The Opportunity

Our client, a specialist national law firm with a clear social purpose, is seeking a motivated Solicitor to join its highly regarded Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team. This role offers the chance to manage a varied caseload while supporting complex, high-value litigation, all within a busy, fast-paced environment focused on achieving justice and positive impact for individuals.

About the Role

The successful candidate will manage a mixed caseload encompassing Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, and CAPA (Child Abuse and Personal Injury) claims, while also supporting senior lawyers on complex, high-value litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to develop their expertise across multiple specialisms in a supportive, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a mixed caseload of PI, Clinical Negligence, and CAPA files from inception to conclusion.
  • Support senior solicitors on complex and high-value claims.
  • Manage client relationships, provide high-quality legal advice, and handle court work.
  • Contribute to business development activities within the team.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or CILEX lawyer with 0–3 years PQE and relevant experience in one or more of the practice areas. They will be:

  • Willing to develop their skills across all three specialisms (PI, Clinical Negligence, and CAPA).
  • A strong communicator with excellent organisational skills.
  • A positive, proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Motivated by the firm’s social purpose and commitment to making a difference.
