Senior Associate / Legal Director – Personal Injury | London
A leading specialist Personal Injury practice is looking to strengthen its London team with the appointment of a 6+ PQE Senior Associate or Legal Director, with the level of appointment dependent on experience.
The team is recognised for handling some of the most complex and high-value personal injury claims in the market, acting exclusively for claimants who have suffered serious, life-changing injuries. The practice operates a genuinely low-volume, high-value model, allowing its lawyers to focus their time on a small number of substantial and technically complex matters.
The Work
The successful candidate will work on a high-quality caseload of £1m+ claims, representing clients who have suffered catastrophic injuries including:
- Spinal cord and other serious spinal injuries
- Traumatic and acquired brain injuries
- Limb amputations
- Severe orthopaedic and multiple injuries
- Fatal and life-changing injuries
The work involves complex liability and quantum issues, often with significant future care, rehabilitation, accommodation and loss of earnings considerations. Lawyers have the opportunity to take matters from initial instruction through to settlement or trial, working closely with leading experts and other professionals throughout the lifecycle of a claim.

The Team
The practice is recognised as one of the leading claimant Personal Injury teams in the UK, with a long-standing reputation for handling high-value and complex catastrophic injury claims.
The successful candidate will work alongside highly regarded Partners and senior lawyers who are recognised for their expertise across brain injury, spinal injury, amputation and other catastrophic injury matters.
The team is deliberately structured around quality rather than volume, creating an environment where lawyers can develop genuine expertise and take meaningful ownership of their cases.
The Candidate
The team is looking for a 6+ PQE Personal Injury lawyer with experience handling serious and complex claimant work.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 6+ years' PQE, with the level of appointment dependent on experience
- Strong experience handling complex and high-value claimant Personal Injury matters
- Experience across serious injury claims, ideally including brain injury, spinal injury, amputation or other catastrophic injury
- Strong technical and litigation skills, with experience managing cases with significant quantum
- Excellent client management and communication skills
- The ability to manage matters with a high degree of autonomy while working collaboratively within a wider team
- A genuine interest in working on high-value, complex claims rather than volume PI
