My client is a progressive law firm based in Scunthorpe.

The firm has a strong reputation for providing excellent client service and offers specialist legal services across Personal Injury and Medical Negligence, Commercial and Residential Conveyancing, Family and Children Law, and Wills and Probate.

The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified Personal Injury Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with at least 3 years' experience to join the firm's established Personal Injury and Medical Negligence team.

You will manage a varied caseload of Personal Injury matters alongside Medical Negligence work, with support from the Head of Department and dedicated secretarial assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of Personal Injury and Medical Negligence matters from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Conduct matters efficiently and in accordance with professional and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and excellent levels of client care.
  • Ensure files are managed effectively and matters progress in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate time recording, billing and financial management.
  • Assist with the supervision and effective use of secretarial support.
  • Provide cover and support for colleagues when required.
  • Contribute to the continued development and profitability of the department.
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities.
  • Represent the firm at local business forums and networking events.
  • Support the wider firm's business plan and ongoing growth.

  • Qualification as a Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer.
  • At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in Personal Injury.
  • Experience handling a caseload of Personal Injury matters.
  • Experience in Medical Negligence is highly desirable.
  • Strong client care and communication skills.
  • Good organisational and file management abilities.
  • A commercially aware and proactive approach.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
