A unique opportunity to join KR8 Advisory, a Managing Director-led Restructuring & Advisory practice, part of the K3 Advisory Group, based in London, Manchester and Leeds. This is an opportunity to be part of an ambitious and experienced team with a strategic plan to grow its service proposition and expand into other key locations.
About the Role – Personal Insolvency Associate
KR8 Advisory is looking for an experienced Personal Insolvency Associate to join the team and provide timely and accurate delivery of Personal Insolvency services in relation to a portfolio of Bankruptcy, IVA and deceased estate cases and provide guidance and support to more junior team members.
You will report to Managers, Directors and Partners whilst managing your own case load in addition to assisting others in the team and delegating work to trainees. You will complete assignments for Managers & MD’s, attend/chair meetings, prepare minutes and maintain referrer & client relationships and confidentiality. Also have ideally 2 years experience within personal insolvency.

We are committed to supporting professional development and will provide full study support and training where required. With the potential to study towards additional qualifications in the future such as Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) and JIEB.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan control and pro-actively maintain a portfolio of personal insolvency cases
- Have good knowledge of Bankruptcies and IVAs. Knowledge of corporate insolvency and its interaction with individuals would be a benefit
- Draft necessary reports to unsecured creditors / secured creditors / creditors’ committees and the Court
- Deal with and adjudicate on retention of title, secured, preferential and unsecured claims with assistance if necessary
- Carry out investigations to uncover claims for preferences / transactions at undervalue etc
- Overseeing or preparing accurate books and records inventories, and taking responsibility for the safeguard, removal and storage of such from premises
- Maximising asset realisations and ensuring recoveries are pursued in a pro-active and cost-effective way
- Appropriate banking and cheque request forms in order to ensure that estate monies are handled and dealt with correctly
- Complete VAT returns and reclaims
- Monitoring of costs to ensure that fees are drawn at appropriate stages, in accordance with resolutions passed by creditors
