An Established, independent Chartered Insurance Broker seeks a Personal Lines Account Handler to take a lead role in managing a portfolio of mid and high net worth Personal Lines business whilst also gaining exposure to SME Commercial business.
You will be the first point of contact for all personal lines enquiries from clients and providers and will be responsible for quotations, renewals, mid-term adjustments and policy amendments.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth running of assigned portfolio on a day-to-day basis
- Achieve agreed retention rates
- Achieve cross selling and referral targets
- Develop, maintain and cultivate constructive and professional relationships with clients and insurers at all levels
- Be the first point of contact for day-to-day enquiries from clients, providers and other internal and external stakeholders
- Independently respond to queries from both clients and insurers in a pro-active manner
- Maintain client records and data in line with internal systems and protocols
- Provide a proactive and professional service to both internal and external contacts, including clients, providers and colleagues.

Key Skills/Experience Required
To be considered for the Personal Lines Account Handler opportunity, you will have the following experience:
- Previous personal lines insurance experience with exposure to HNW and SME commercial insurance beneficial
- Knowledge of relevant Insurance Products and services and understanding of the principles of insurance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong PC literacy to include Word and Outlook
- Cert CII qualification would be preferred.
