Apricot Insurance is an independent insurance broker based in Northern Ireland, dedicated to helping customers find the right insurance at the right price. Role Description

The Personal Lines Sales Advisor is a full-time hybrid role based in Belfast, with flexibility for some work from home. The advisor will handle inbound and outbound customer enquiries, provide insurance quotations, and convert leads into policy sales for personal lines products such as car, van, and home insurance. The role involves delivering high-quality customer service, managing follow-ups, and contributing to team targets and overall business growth. The advisor may also support cross-selling and upselling initiatives and participate in ongoing training to stay current with products and market developments.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to engage with clients clearly, professionally, and empathetically.
  • Solid Interpersonal Skills and Sales abilities to build rapport, identify customer needs, and convert enquiries into policy sales.
  • Training and coaching capabilities to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Basic IT proficiency, including use of CRM systems, email, and office applications, along with attention to detail in documentation.
  • Knowledge of personal lines insurance products or a strong willingness to learn, with prior experience in insurance, financial services, or a call centre environment considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and meet individual and team performance targets.
  • Relevant education or professional development, such as GCSEs/A-levels or equivalent, and progress toward industry qualifications (e.g., CII) would be beneficial.
