Personal Secretary to Deputy Executive Medical Directors

Office of the Medical Director (OMD)

Location: Carlton Court, St Asaph

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Secretary to support the Deputy Executive Medical Directors (DEMDs) within the Office of the Medical Director. This is an exciting opportunity to provide essential business support at a critical time in the Health Board’s journey.

The successful candidate will work closely with the DEMDs, providing comprehensive administrative, organisational, and performance support across their portfolios.

Main Duties of the Job

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive, high-quality business and performance support to the Deputy Executive Medical Directors
  • Deliver cross-cover support across the senior management team to ensure the Office operates efficiently and effectively
  • Handle and process complex and sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion
  • Communicate confidently with senior management and key stakeholders, including on challenging or sensitive issues
  • Support the provision, analysis, and presentation of OMD-related information
  • Ensure the timely production of reports to inform effective decision-making across the Health Board

Bilingual

Essential Criteria

  • Management certificate or Office Management Experience
  • Qualification - RSA III or equivalent.

Desirable criteria

  • NVQ 2
  • ECDL

  • Examples of effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Examples of advanced knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet packages
