Personal Tax Assistant Manager
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Personal Tax Assistant Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Leicester. Working closely with Directors and Partners, you will manage a varied portfolio of private clients while supporting the development of junior team members and contributing to the continued growth of the tax department.

Description
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring compliance deadlines are met.
- Review personal tax returns prepared by junior staff.
- Provide tax planning advice to individuals, owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth clients.
- Advise on capital gains tax, inheritance tax and income tax matters.
- Support Partners and Directors on complex advisory assignments.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Identify tax planning opportunities across the client portfolio.
- Assist with HMRC enquiries and correspondence.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the tax team through business development and networking initiatives.
Profile
- ATT and/or CTA qualified, or currently studying towards CTA.
- Previous experience within a personal tax role in an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation.
- Experience managing a client portfolio and handling client relationships.
- Good understanding of capital gains tax, inheritance tax and self-assessment compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to delivering client solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.
- A desire to develop into a Manager and senior leadership role over time.

- Competitive salary of £42,000 to £50,000 depending on experience.
