With continued growth and investment across the business, they are looking to appoint a Personal Tax Manager. Your new role

As a Personal Tax Manager, you will take responsibility for managing a substantial portfolio of approximately 350 personal tax clients, ensuring a high-quality service is delivered across all compliance and advisory requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including self-assessment compliance matters
  • Overseeing and supporting the delivery of Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and building long-term relationships
  • Providing ad hoc tax support and guidance to clients on a range of personal tax matters
  • Reviewing returns and ensuring compliance deadlines are met
  • Identifying opportunities to add value and assist clients with broader tax planning needs
  • Supporting junior team members and contributing to the continued growth of the tax department

The role can be based at any of their north west offices with applications welcomed from candidates seeking to work from Manchester, Wilmslow, or Nantwich. Applications from experienced Personal Tax Seniors looking to step into a management role will also be considered.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience managing personal tax compliance portfolios within an accountancy practice
  • Strong knowledge of self-assessment and personal tax compliance matters
  • Experience of client relationship management
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • ATT, CTA, or ACA/ACCA qualifications (or qualified by experience) would be advantageous
  • A proactive and client-focused approach
