Personal Tax Manager

  • Hands on role working with a range of UHNW and HNW families
  • Full or part time
  • Hybrid working (Home working is fully supported, min 1 day/week in office at jct 25 M1 btw Derby and Nottingham)
  • Flexi working available (e.g. reduced hours in school holidays)
  • Competitive salary

The Role

Your will work closely with the director of personal tax and partners in advising clients on their personal tax affairs, including:

  • Preparing personal tax returns using CCH
  • Overseeing and reviewing the preparation of personal tax returns by other staff
  • Preparing/reviewing residential property CGT returns
  • Monitoring deadlines including preparing EIS claims
  • Preparing notes of advice, for example, on disposal of real estate, EIS relief, inheritance tax, etc.

About Coleby

We have long-term client relationships built on trust and commercially based, pragmatic tax advice and services.

Requirements

  • Professionally qualified (e.g. ATT, CTA, ACA)
  • Experienced in preparing/reviewing UK personal tax returns for individuals
  • Preferably, has experience of advising trusts and on inheritance tax (including completion of trust tax returns and IHT returns), but this is not essential
  • To include experience of complex capital gains, EIS/SEIS, gift aid
  • Accustomed to monitoring deadlines
