Personal Tax Manager
70k-80k Practice Hybrid
Halliday Marx have partnered with an exceptional and international accounting firm to hire a Personal Tax Manager on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of assignments and a complex portfolio.
- Provide tax technical support in all personal tax matters, including income tax, CGT, inheritance tax, and residence issues.
- Manage compliance matters and client queries.
- Work on consultancy and advisory projects, either standalone or joint with the Corporate Tax team on OMB projects, where appropriate.
- Assist with compliance work on, for example, EIS/SEIS, EMI, employment-related securities, and year-end documentation such as P11Ds. Training will be provided if needed.
- Prepare client documents, including complex annual tax returns and ensure compliance with current tax laws.
- Ensure payments are made by the deadline.
- Provide consistent and quality client service including maintaining regular contact with clients.
- Correspond with clients, tax authorities and third parties daily on a wide variety of personal and business tax matters.
- Supervise and assist with the technical development of junior members of staff.
- Point of contact for tax queries from other departments within the firm and similarly, referring clients/client matters to other parts of the firm where appropriate.
- Technical research.

Requirements
- CTA qualified
- Minimum of 3 years personal tax experience within practice
