Are you an experienced Personal Tax Manager looking for an opportunity to grow and mentor others in a dynamic, hybrid environment?

THE ROLE

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, liaise on tax planning matters, and support the development of junior team members. You will also play a key part in upholding compliance and delivering advisory services across diverse tax engagements.

  • Manage and review personal tax compliance work for accuracy and quality.
  • Provide tailored advisory services, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning.
  • Oversee client portfolios, ensuring deadlines and billing targets are met.
  • Mentor junior staff and enhance team capabilities through hands-on training.
  • Engage with clients on day-to-day tax affairs and long-term planning opportunities.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for a highly organised and technically skilled individual who thrives in a client-facing role with opportunities to mentor and develop colleagues. Your expertise will make a difference in delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and the team.

Mandatory

  • CTA qualification with at least 1–2 years in a Tax Manager role.
  • Proven experience in managing personal tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Ability to handle complex family group tax structures and trusts.
  • Strong organisational and deadline management skills.
  • Proficient in tax software and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Background in professional services or accountancy firms.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of corporate tax matters for integrated tax advisory.
  • Experience with landed estates and rural business taxation.
  • Familiarity with international tax planning and trust structuring.
  • Participation in advisory committees or cross-firm projects.
  • Exposure to medium or large accountancy firms.
