Personal Tax Senior
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Tax Senior to join a well-established independent accountancy practice. This role offers responsibility for managing a varied personal tax portfolio while working closely with senior tax professionals on compliance matters linked to wider planning and advisory projects.

Description
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients across the full self-assessment cycle.
- Prepare and review personal tax returns covering individuals, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
- Manage information gathering, client communications, and HMRC submissions.
- Prepare 60-day Capital Gains Tax returns and associated client correspondence.
- Oversee the P11D compliance process, including benefit and expense reporting.
- Support senior tax professionals with compliance aspects of advisory and planning projects.
- Assist with Trust Registration Service submissions and inheritance tax compliance matters.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing day-to-day tax support.
- Liaise directly with HMRC and resolve compliance-related queries.
- Work closely with payroll and wider practice teams to ensure a joined-up client service.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and enhance client delivery.
- Support and guide junior team members where appropriate.

Profile
- ATT qualified or qualified by experience.
- Strong personal tax compliance experience gained within an accountancy practice.
- Experience managing a portfolio of private clients.
- Good knowledge of self-assessment, capital gains tax, and personal tax compliance.
- Exposure to trusts, estates, and inheritance tax matters would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of HMRC processes and filing obligations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
- Proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with wider teams.

Job Offer
- Salary: £32,000 - £40,000
