In this role, you'll manage your own portfolio of personal tax clients, preparing Self-Assessment returns and CGT computations while developing your exposure to more technical tax planning and advisory work.

We're working with an established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Reading that's looking for a Personal Tax Senior to join its growing Private Client Tax team.
You'll have plenty of autonomy over your own portfolio while working closely with experienced tax professionals, giving you the opportunity to further develop your technical knowledge and progress longer-term.

The Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Self-Assessment tax returns for individuals, sole traders and partnerships
- Managing your own portfolio and acting as a key contact for clients
- Preparing Capital Gains Tax computations and UK property disposal returns
- Assisting with P11Ds and employment-related tax compliance
- Dealing directly with HMRC and handling routine enquiries
- Supporting senior team members with tax planning and advisory projects
- Helping to support and develop trainees and junior team members
About You

You'll ideally be ATT qualified or studying towards CTA, with previous personal tax experience gained within an accountancy practice.
You'll have a good grounding in Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax compliance and be comfortable preparing Self-Assessment returns and communicating directly with clients.
Experience using Digita would be useful, but isn't essential.
