TPF Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Eastleigh, who are looking to hire a Personal Tax Senior into their growing tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, people-focused practice that has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality tax and accounting services to a loyal and diverse client base. Known for its supportive culture and flexible approach to working, the firm offers an environment where individuals are encouraged to develop their technical skills and progress their careers.

The successful candidate will join a growing private client tax team, working with a varied portfolio of individuals, business owners, company directors, and partnerships. The role offers a balanced mix of compliance responsibilities and advisory exposure, making it ideal for someone looking to further their career within personal taxation.

The Role

  • Managing a portfolio of private clients, ensuring compliance obligations are met while also identifying opportunities to provide valuable tax planning advice.
  • Working closely with experienced tax professionals, you will gain exposure to a wide range of personal tax matters and support clients with their ongoing tax affairs.
  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, directors, sole traders, and partnerships.
  • Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns and associated compliance work.
  • Ensuring deadlines are met and client service standards remain consistently high.
  • Assisting clients with a range of personal tax planning and advisory matters.
  • Supporting tax projects and ad hoc advisory assignments as they arise.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance the services provided to clients.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.

Requirements

  • ATT, ACA, ACCA, CTA part qualified/qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Previous personal tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical understanding of personal tax compliance.
  • Comfortable managing client relationships and handling work independently.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively.
  • Keen to continue developing your knowledge within private client taxation.
  • Experience within an independent, regional, or mid-tier practice would be advantageous.
