Role Description

The role involves managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns, and ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients on personal tax matters, identifying tax planning opportunities, and responding to HMRC queries. The Personal Tax Senior will collaborate with colleagues across the firm, and help maintain high standards of client service. The role also involves keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and applying this knowledge to client situations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Tax, Tax Compliance, and Tax Preparation, with experience managing personal tax cases.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ATT, CTA, or equivalent) or significant demonstrable experience in personal tax.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and apply tax legislation.
- Effective communication and client relationship skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing deadlines and priorities.
- Previous experience in a professional services or accountancy practice environment is beneficial.
