Personal Tax Senior - Hybrid, Central London

US/UK Tax

We are proud to be partnering with a leading tax practice in London who are recruiting an experienced and qualified Personal Tax Senior to lead a high-performing team within their specialist tax practice.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a portfolio of expatriate clients with both US and UK tax obligations.

Key duties include the preparation and review of personal tax returns, advising on cross border tax issues, analysing double tax treaty positions, and supporting clients with residency and foreign reporting requirements. The role requires regular communication with clients, the ability to resolve technical tax queries, and effective collaboration with colleagues to deliver a seamless service.

Alongside compliance work, the position offers exposure to tax planning projects, technical research, and opportunities to help enhance internal processes and best practice across the team.

This is a full-time role with hybrid working.

Requirements

Personal Tax Senior - London

  • ATT/CTA qualification, or equivalent chartered certified accountant status.
  • US/UK Dual Handle Tax - Strong experience in US and UK individual tax compliance, including preparation and review of returns and related filings.
  • Progressive experience in personal tax, ideally within a professional services firm or tax advisory practice.
  • Expertise in tax return preparation, compliance, and advisory services for private clients.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and client engagement skills with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts.
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxCalc, Thomson Reuters) and Microsoft Office Suite.
