Job Description:

Planet Rail is a leading specialist in tailor-made European rail holidays, creating bespoke journeys across some of the world’s most iconic rail routes and destinations. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer experiences and expert travel knowledge.

We are now looking for a commercially driven, target-focused Personal Travel Advisor to join our growing team.

The Role

This is a highly sales-orientated position. You will manage client enquiries from initial consultation through to confirmed booking, converting leads into sales while delivering outstanding service at every stage of the customer journey.

You will be responsible for:

  • Building strong client relationships
  • Understanding travel aspirations
  • Confidently recommending premium rail holidays and add-on experiences

Success in this role is measured by your ability to achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining Planet Rail’s high standards of customer care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert inbound enquiries into confirmed bookings through proactive sales techniques
  • Follow up unconfirmed quotes and leads to maximise conversion
  • Build lasting relationships to encourage repeat bookings and referrals
  • Design bespoke rail holiday itineraries tailored to client preferences and budgets
  • Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and KPIs
  • Maintain accurate booking and client records
  • Contribute ideas to improve sales performance and customer experience

About You

  • Proven sales experience (travel industry experience desirable but not essential)
  • Target-driven with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Commercially aware with a natural ability to close sales
  • Confident communicator with excellent telephone and written skills
  • Passionate about travel and delivering exceptional service
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Motivated, resilient and eager to succeed
