Personal Tutor - Health Care

Location: Remote-based with learner observations across the South

Hours: 36.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum plus Bonus

As a Personal Tutor, you will plan and deliver inspirational and engaging teaching and learning experiences. You will adapt your delivery to meet the needs of learners and employers, ensuring every individual receives an outstanding, supportive, and motivating experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Motivate and encourage learners to progress and achieve their Health & Social Care qualifications through outstanding teaching and learning
  • Retain learners and employers by delivering consistent, high-quality service in line with our core values
  • Support the learning process through accessible learning resources, workshops, and workplace on-the-job training
  • Plan engaging, interactive, and inspiring teaching and learning sessions through a variety of methods, ensuring active learning is present and recorded
  • Provide impactful and constructive feedback, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner

Essential Experience & Background

  • Strong background in health and social care (e.g. Senior Health Care Support Worker, Team Leader, Senior Carer, or equivalent senior care role)
  • Practical experience supporting adults in care settings, including residential, domiciliary, supported living, or clinical environments
  • Experience supporting learners or mentoring colleagues within a care setting
  • Understanding of adult care standards, safeguarding, person-centred practice, and regulatory frameworks

Teaching & Delivery Skills

  • Experience delivering blended learning (online and face-to-face)
  • Ability to support practice, portfolio development, and learner progress reviews
  • Understanding of apprenticeship delivery, including KSB mapping and EPA requirements
  • Ability to plan engaging, interactive sessions that promote active learning
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or Senior Health Care Support Worker
  • Assessor Qualification: Minimum Level 3 (CAVA, TAQA, D32, A1, V1)
  • Teaching qualification (e.g. PTLLS, AET, PGCE, CertEd) or equivalent experience
  • Occupational competency with extensive experience in adult care or senior support roles
  • Familiarity with End Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Ability to manage your own caseload
  • Access to a car and willingness to travel for learner observations
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning
  • Strong understanding of adult care legislation, safeguarding, and best practice
