This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Manchester city centre. The firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality tax and advisory services to a broad client base. You will be joining a highly experienced team, with a number of professionals who have trained in Big 4 environments, offering you excellent mentorship, exposure, and long-term development opportunities. The firm is committed to developing its people, giving responsibility early and supporting progression.

Your new role

As a Personal Tax / Mixed Tax Senior, you will play a key role in delivering personal tax compliance and advisory services, with opportunities to gain exposure across wider tax matters. You will work with a varied portfolio of clients ranging from high-net-worth individuals through to owner-managed businesses.

  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring compliance deadlines are met
  • Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns
  • Supporting on tax planning and advisory work
  • Building strong client relationships and acting as a point of contact
  • Assisting with more complex tax matters as your experience develops
  • Supporting junior team members where appropriate

You will benefit from early responsibility and the chance to get involved in a wide range of tax work, helping to accelerate your development.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in personal tax or mixed tax within an accountancy practice
  • Qualified, studying, or qualified by experience (QBE) candidates will be considered
  • Strong technical knowledge with a proactive approach to learning
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build client relationships
  • A desire to progress and take on responsibility within a growing team
