Healthcare Assistant | New Spire Healthcare Clinic, Perth, Scotland | Full Time | Permanent

Spire Healthcare is excited to be growing our presence in Scotland with our new clinic in Perth. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate HCAs who can provide high-quality care. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a broad clinical background who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a modern, welcoming environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new service from the beginning, working alongside experienced clinicians and healthcare professionals committed to providing exceptional patient experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey. You will work closely with nurses and clinicians to ensure patients receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

  • Deliver high standards of patient care whilst maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
  • Undertake routine observations and accurately record patient information.
  • Phlebotomy skills are essential.
  • Support nurses and clinicians with clinical procedures and patient assessments.
  • Prepare and maintain clinical and treatment areas.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control procedures.
  • Contribute to a safe, caring, and supportive environment for patients and colleagues.
  • Accurately label, handle, and prepare specimens for transportation and testing.
  • Deliver a high standard of patient-centred care, ensuring dignity, privacy, and comfort at all times.

Who We're Looking For

  • Qualified at NVQ level 2/3.
  • Previous Healthcare Assistant experience within an acute hospital, ward, outpatient, or medical/surgical environment or GP setting.
  • Phlebotomy skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding patient-centred care.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A caring, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care.
  • Understanding of infection prevention, patient safety, and confidentiality standards.

Contract

  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Flexibility to be able to work any shifts on a rota from Monday to Saturday.
  • Department is open from 8am-8:30pm (Mon-Sat) with rotational Saturdays with shorter hours.
