Company Description
G.A. Helliar and Son Ltd is a long-established provider of professional pest control and cleaning services with over 80 years of experience supporting commercial and domestic customers. Our pest control division is based in Yeovil, Somerset and currently operates a team of 6 full-time technicians. Due to further business growth we are now seeking a new technician to join our team.
Role Description
Our role as a Pest Control Technician is a full-time hybrid role based in Yeovil, with a mix of on-site work at customer locations and some administrative tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Inspecting customer properties for pest activity
- Identifying species and infestation levels
- Implementing safe and effective pest control and integrated pest management solutions
- Completing treatment plans
- Applying approved products and methods
- Following up to ensure long-term prevention
- Maintaining accurate service records
- Communicating clearly with customers about findings and recommendations
- Coordinating with the wider team to schedule visits and support other property care services when required
- Working as part of a team and servicing high-end sites

Qualifications
- Strong practical skills and knowledge in Pest Control and Integrated Pest Management, with the ability to assess infestations and apply appropriate treatments.
- RSPH Level 2 Preferred but not essential
- Effective Communication skills for explaining treatment plans, safety instructions, and preventative measures to customers and colleagues.
- The candidate must be polite and punctual and operate a can-do attitude at all times.
- Relevant pest control certifications or licenses (or willingness to obtain), and familiarity with UK health and safety regulations and safe handling of chemicals.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel to customer sites across Dorset and Somerset.
- Valid driving license and a strong commitment to customer service, reliability, and professional conduct.

Compensation
- Salary subject to experience

- Salary will be based on 40 hours per week with overtime available
