Role Description
This full-time remote Pest Control Technician role is responsible for providing professional pest management services to residential and commercial clients. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting properties for signs of pest activity, identifying pest species, and determining appropriate treatment and prevention strategies. The technician will apply pest control treatments safely and in line with company standards and regulatory requirements, while documenting findings, service reports, and recommendations. The role involves communicating clearly with customers to explain treatment plans, provide guidance on prevention, and maintain strong client relationships. The Pest Control Technician will collaborate with the wider team, follow integrated pest management best practices, and support ongoing service improvement.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Pest Control and Integrated Pest Management (IPM), with the ability to diagnose infestations and select appropriate treatments.
- Knowledge of PEST (Political, Economic, Social, Technological) or similar frameworks as they relate to environmental and regulatory factors in pest management.
- Effective Communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders, including clear written documentation.
- Basic understanding of Lawn Care and property maintenance practices that support pest prevention.
- Relevant pest control certifications or licenses in line with local regulations (or willingness to obtain them).
- Awareness of health, safety, and environmental regulations, with a commitment to safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage schedules, and prioritize multiple service visits.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to transportation for on-site customer visits, where required.
- Previous experience in pest control, facilities maintenance, or a related field is beneficial.
