Premier Environmental Ltd, trading as Pest Control Manchester, is a family-run business with over 30 years of experience providing professional pest control services throughout Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas.
We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, rapid response times, and effective pest management solutions to both domestic and commercial clients. As a growing business, we're looking for a motivated Pest Control Technician to join our friendly and professional team.
We welcome applications from experienced technicians as well as enthusiastic individuals looking to begin a career in pest control. Training and support towards achieving the BPCA/RSPH Level 2 qualification may be available for the right candidate.
The Role
As a Pest Control Technician, you'll be responsible for providing professional pest management services to a wide range of commercial and domestic customers. No two days are the same, and you'll be trusted to manage your own workload while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Your duties will include:
- Carrying out pest inspections, surveys, and treatments for a wide range of pest species.
- Identifying infestations and implementing effective treatment programmes.
- Advising customers on pest prevention and integrated pest management (IPM).
- Completing clear, accurate service reports using company software.
- Maintaining excellent customer relationships and delivering outstanding service.
- Identifying and recommending additional pest prevention or proofing solutions where appropriate.
- Working independently to manage your daily schedule and respond to additional call-outs.
- Working alongside colleagues on larger projects such as bird proofing, fly screen installations, and proofing works.
- Collecting customer payments when required.
- Following all health & safety procedures and company policies.
- Attending ongoing training to maintain industry knowledge and best practice.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Friendly, professional manner with excellent customer service skills.
- Computer literate and confident using mobile devices and reporting software.
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated with a positive attitude.

Preferred:
- Minimum 1 year's pest control experience.
- BPCA or RSPH Level 2 qualification in Pest Management.
- Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
- Experience working with domestic and commercial clients.
- Experience carrying out bird proofing or proofing works.

Working Hours
Full-time position.
Weekend cover on a rota basis (approximately 1 in every 3 weekends). This is mainly telephone cover.
