Role Description

The Pet Sitter role at Chatty Cats Care is a part-time, hybrid position based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with some work-from-home tasks such as scheduling updates, client communication, and report writing.

  • Visiting clients’ homes to provide feeding, fresh water, litter tray maintenance, playtime, and general wellbeing checks for cats.
  • Monitoring pet behavior, following specific care instructions, administering basic medications as directed, and ensuring the home is secure during visits or overnight stays.
  • Communicating regularly with clients through messages, photos, and updates, as well as coordinating with the wider team to manage bookings and schedules.

Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is important to support client needs.

Qualifications

  • Strong Animal Care, Pet Care, and Pet Sitting skills, with the ability to follow detailed care instructions and respond to pets’ needs calmly and safely.
  • Excellent Communication skills to provide clear updates to clients, maintain professional correspondence, and liaise effectively with the team.
  • Experience or comfort with House Sitting responsibilities, including basic home security checks and respecting client privacy and property.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple visits in a day and keep accurate records.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid arrangement, including traveling across the London area and using digital tools for scheduling and reporting.
  • Previous experience in pet care, animal welfare, or customer service is beneficial; training or certifications in animal care are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, handle emergency situations responsibly, and pass any necessary background or reference checks.
