PFI Supervisor

Salary – £32,454 - £40,568 per annum
Hours – 42.5 hours per week
Location & Postcode – Bryn Lane PFI, Wrexham, LL13 9UT

As a PFI Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will ensure that the HRCs, MBT, MRF, TS and IVC are operated in line with regulatory standards, good operational practice and all relevant company policies and procedures. You will be responsible for promoting safe working practices, environmental compliance and operational excellence across the site.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Managing existing and future operational facilities and supporting the development of new opportunities
  • Ensuring facilities operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Implementing and promoting Health & Safety and Environmental policies
  • Maintaining strong relationships with regulators, customers and local stakeholders
  • Maximising recycling performance and ensuring operational targets are achieved
  • Managing contracts and customer relationships
  • Monitoring operational costs and contributing to budgets and forecasts
  • Overseeing site maintenance activities and minimising equipment downtime
  • Leading, developing and motivating site teams to achieve business objectives
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation

What Are We Looking For?

  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent, ideally within a business or environmental discipline
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Experience delivering operational targets in a demanding environment
  • Experience managing budgets and controlling costs
  • Proven line management experience, including coaching and developing teams
  • Operational and contract management experience within a regulated industry
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong IT and numerical skills with the ability to analyse and use management information
  • A confident leader who can inspire teams and drive high standards
  • Commercial awareness and a results-focused approach
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Waste, recycling or resource management experience would be advantageous
