What You'll Be Doing

The wider Ethical Commercial & Pharma Partnerships team are responsible for the management of the pharmaceutical category through effective and extensive internal and external stakeholder management. We work in a matrix relationship with other teams within Boots, WBA and Alliance Healthcare (AH) to ensure maximum value attainment from prescription product procurement, supplier relationships and with Pharma. We provide solutions across the product lifecycle from launch to established brands that are mutually beneficial, building our relationships and brand value within the pharmaceutical industry.

The Pharma partnerships team bring additional value to the business from our Pharma relationships through linking their priorities and budgets to Boots UK maximising the value of the relationship through both Joint Business Plan and opportunities-based relationships. We are the Boots UK relationship holder with pharma, managing opportunities and requests with external pharma and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that ongoing and productive relationships are maintained with existing and new Pharma suppliers.
  • Facilitate the business proposal development for industry-funded initiatives and services across the UK, using project management principles to support project delivery.
  • Communicate pharmaceutical industry partnership opportunities effectively within the Boots Pharmacy Structure, ensuring business ownership and prioritisation.
  • Stay updated on developments within the health service and new Contract for Pharmacy, developing and maintaining effective professional networks.
  • Identify and seize opportunities to develop new revenue streams and deliver annual sales targets.

What You'll Need To Have (our Must-haves)

  • Experience in healthcare.
  • Strong command of written English and excellent communication skills.
  • IT competency, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven experience in internal and external stakeholder management.
  • Negotiation experience.
