Pharmacist Manager – Liverpool
Location: Liverpool
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time, with some flexibility around working patterns
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established community pharmacy group for an experienced and motivated Pharmacist Manager to join one of their Liverpool branches.
This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who is looking to take ownership of a busy community pharmacy, lead a team effectively and play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and pharmacy services.
The successful candidate will be a confident pharmacy professional with strong leadership skills, a patient-focused approach and the ability to manage the day-to-day operation of a community pharmacy safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the safe and effective operation of the pharmacy.
- Act as the Responsible Pharmacist, ensuring all legal, professional and regulatory requirements are met.
- Lead, motivate and develop the pharmacy team, creating a positive and supportive working environment.
- Ensure the safe and efficient supply of medicines and provide professional advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Deliver and promote a range of clinical and public health pharmacy services.
- Support the development of the pharmacy's services and patient offering.
- Maintain excellent standards of patient care, customer service and professional practice.
- Manage stock, controlled drugs, SOPs, audits and pharmacy processes effectively.
- Work closely with the wider healthcare team and local healthcare professionals.
- Ensure the pharmacy remains compliant with relevant GPhC, NHS and company standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Support and develop the wider pharmacy team through coaching, training and effective delegation.

About You
We are looking for a qualified pharmacist with previous community pharmacy management experience, ideally with experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
You will ideally have:
- GPhC registration and the right to practise in the UK.
- Previous experience working within a community pharmacy environment.
- Strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care.
- Proven leadership and team-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A commercial and customer-focused mindset.
- The confidence to work autonomously and make sound professional decisions.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and service development.
