Role Description
Job Title
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Edinburgh. The role involves providing day-to-day support in the pharmacy, including assisting with dispensing activities under appropriate supervision, serving customers, and responding to queries in a professional and caring manner. Responsibilities may include handling prescriptions, maintaining stock levels, supporting administrative tasks, and ensuring the pharmacy environment is clean, safe, and well-organized. The role also requires collaboration with pharmacists and other team members to deliver excellent patient care and customer service, while adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively and respectfully with diverse patients and colleagues.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and support efficient pharmacy operations.
- Attention to detail and reliability in following procedures, checking information, and supporting safe dispensing processes.
- Basic IT skills, including comfort with pharmacy systems, email, and standard office software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, demonstrate initiative, and contribute to a supportive workplace culture.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or customer-facing environment is beneficial but not essential, as training may be provided.
- Relevant pharmacy or healthcare-related qualifications or certifications are an advantage, subject to role requirements and regulatory standards.
