About the job

As a Pharmacovigilance Industrial Placement Student, you will join the UK & Ireland Pharmacovigilance team and support activities that help ensure patient safety. You will gain hands-on experience in managing safety information, maintaining documentation and supporting processes that help the team meet regulatory requirements.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will learn how pharmacovigilance operates within a global pharmaceutical organisation while contributing to the accurate and efficient day-to-day running of the team.

Ready to grow your skills while helping shape the future of healthcare? At Sanofi, you’ll be empowered to learn, ask questions, and bring your ideas to life – all while supported by inspiring mentors and collaborative teams.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day processing of patient safety information, ensuring records are accurate and completed within required timelines.
  • Help monitor the Pharmacovigilance inbox and support activities such as case follow-up, reconciliation and quality checks.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organised electronic and paper documentation, helping ensure records remain ready for audits and inspections.
  • Support regular team activities, including monthly reconciliations, training records, trackers and electronic folders.
  • Provide administrative support such as preparing meeting minutes, presentations and correspondence, organising documents and coordinating meetings.
  • Support clear and timely communication with colleagues across different teams, with guidance from experienced Pharmacovigilance team members.
  • Contribute to team activities and projects while developing your understanding of patient safety, pharmacovigilance and the pharmaceutical industry.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
