STADA UK Thornton & Ross – Pharmacovigilance Placement Student

Reading | U.K. | Full-time | 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Commencing July 2027 | Salary £28,000

Step into the heart of patient safety as our Pharmacovigilance (PV) Placement Student and get hands-on experience in a real, regulated pharmaceutical environment. You’ll be part of the team behind our Denzapine Monitoring Service (DMS), helping to process safety information accurately, maintain key pharmacovigilance systems and records, and support our compliance with MHRA and EU safety regulations. Working in a hybrid pattern split between our Reading office and home, you’ll collaborate closely with PV Associates, Officers, the PV Manager and Head of PV, as well as internal teams and external partners — gaining exposure, responsibility and insight you won’t get from a typical student placement.

We’re looking for a motivated 2nd year BSc student looking for a 3rd year placement in industry, who is proactive and detail-orientated, and is excited to bring fresh ideas to help shape the future of our PV team.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Get hands-on with real safety case processing, data reconciliation and PV documentation, building a strong foundation in MHRA and EU pharmacovigilance requirements.
  • Play a key role in the DMS by supporting patient and HCP registrations, blood result processing and patient profile updates.
  • Help keep the company inspection-ready by supporting audits, maintaining high-quality records and escalating any safety or compliance concerns.
  • Work closely with PV, Medical Affairs, Quality, Regulatory and external partners, developing strong professional relationships and communication skills.
  • Benefit from structured training, on-the-job learning and active involvement in projects and improvement initiatives to grow your technical and professional skills.
  • Join a business that lives its values — Integrity, Entrepreneurship, Agility and “One STADA” — and learn how these translate into day-to-day GxP-compliant practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
