Overview

Are you a focused and process driven Pharmacy Dispenser and have an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or working towards?

We are looking a Pharmacy Dispenser to join our Dispensing team within our Pharmacy Department. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will instantly become a valued member of our Pharmacy team, helping to ensure our patients always receive the highest quality service. The role is full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, working alternating weekly shifts of 7am - 3pm and 3pm - 11pm.

Our product portfolio comprises a comprehensive range of I.V. generic drugs, infusion therapies and clinical nutrition products as well as the medical devices for administering these products.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently ensuring all patients prescriptions are available for dispensing
  • Working closely with internal departments including Patients’ Services, the Production Unit and Warehouse to ensure the patients supply requirements are met
  • Liaising by email and telephone with hospitals, surgeries and dieticians to ensure prescriptions are available and patients’ treatment is continued seamlessly
  • Liaising with the other Apprentice Dispensers, Dispensers, Accuracy Checking Technicians and Pharmacists to ensure efficient use of resources across all the Pharmacy sections
  • Promptly responding to any email and telephone queries that arise as part of the prescription processioning procedures
  • Undertaking other reasonable duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Services Team Leader

Qualifications

  • Must have an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills or be working towards
  • Strong IT skills are essential, experience with SAP would be an advantage, however not essential
  • Excellent telephone manner is essential
  • GCSE’s in Maths, English and Science
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with great attention to detail
