Pharmacy Manager Derby Hospital | Pharmacy | Permanent contract | Full time Competitive Salary depending on skills and experience. 37.5 hours per week
A rare, new, and exciting opportunity has arisen at our Nuffield Health Derby Hospital where we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pharmacy Manager to lead and develop our pharmacy services within our private hospital. As Pharmacy Manager, you’ll provide both operational and clinical leadership for the pharmacy department, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred medicines management across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the pharmacy department
- Ensure the safe, effective, and economical use of medicines throughout the hospital
- Lead, manage, and develop the pharmacy team, including performance management and staff development
- Oversee medicines management, procurement, stock control, and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with GPhC standards, hospital policies, and relevant legislation
- Support clinical governance, audits, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives
- Build strong relationships with consultants, clinicians, and senior management teams

The hospital provides high-quality inpatient surgical care across a range of specialties and is home to a thriving Oncology Day Unit delivering Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) and support for oncology patients.
