About Us
The NHS Fife Pharmacy & Medicines Directorate provides an ambitious programme of integrated care to a population of approximately 380,000 people, by a team of around 300 Pharmacy staff, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Support Workers, Nurses, and Administrators. We pride ourselves on being a vibrant, welcoming, and friendly team, made up of hardworking, talented, and dedicated individuals who work towards a common goal of putting our patients at the heart of everything that we do. We are committed to our staff’s experience and development and ensuring both our team and patients experience the same compassion and empathy.
The Pharmacy team works across Acute and Community hospital sites, General Practices, Mental Health services, and a range of specialist teams. Partnership working is at the core of our values, and we work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including our Community Pharmacy colleagues, to deliver the highest quality care for everyone in Fife.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
