Brighouse Pharmacy is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their team and assist in the daily operations of the business. The role involves supporting the dispensing and stocking of medicine and pharmacy supplies. If this sounds like the role for you, please apply today!

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and enthusiastic team providing over-the-counter and prescription pharmaceutical services to the local community.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with day-to-day tasks, such as consultations, dispensing medicine, and general administration.
  • Spending time in both the shopfront retail and dispensary sides of the pharmacy.

Additional Tasks:

  • Provide a high standard of customer service to attract and retain customers.
  • Dispense prescription medication and other medical products to patients under the direction of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Receive and check in prescriptions, ensuring details are legible and complete, and collecting appropriate levy or verifying exemption.
  • Perform duties, including answering phones, processing orders, and email correspondence.
  • Monitor the prescription-filling process to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and pharmacy policies.
  • Receive incoming stock and store it correctly, completing documentation, minimizing damage, and effectively rotating stock to minimize expired stock, notifying suppliers of any discrepancies.
  • Liaise with healthcare providers and patients to obtain correct prescription information.
  • Answer patients' questions about their medications under the supervision of the pharmacist.
  • Carry out good housekeeping procedures regularly and effectively, including duties on any cleaning rota.
  • Refer customers on to other healthcare professionals, including the pharmacist.
  • Maintain electronic information.
  • General computer skills.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Be keen to learn about our products and services.
