Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Pharmacy Supervisor to join our small, supportive dispensary-based training team within Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This exciting opportunity combines training and educational responsibilities with hands-on involvement in the day-to-day operation of a busy Inpatient dispensary service.
The post holder will play a key role in supporting the induction, training, and development of Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians, Pre-registration Pharmacists, Foundation Pharmacists, and other new starters across our inpatient pharmacy services. Working closely with the Pharmacy Technician Team Leader and Pharmacy Technicians, you will help coordinate structured induction programs, provide one-to-one support, and contribute to creating a positive learning environment for new staff.
Alongside training responsibilities, you will support the safe and efficient dispensing of medicines, contribute to medication safety initiatives, and help ensure high standards of service delivery across our dispensaries. The role is based at St James's University Hospital, Leeds General Infirmary, and Chapel Allerton Hospital as required.
Why You Should Join Our Team

If you enjoy supporting others, sharing your knowledge, and helping colleagues build confidence in their roles, this position offers a rewarding and varied career pathway.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
