Ready to take the next step in your pharmacy career and play a bigger role in supporting a high-performing team?

We’re looking for an experienced pharmacy professional to join us as a Pharmacy Team Lead, helping to lead, support and motivate our pharmacy team across weekday and weekend shifts.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment, supporting colleagues and ensuring daily operations run smoothly. You’ll help coordinate shifts, manage priorities, provide guidance to the team and ensure we continue delivering a safe, accurate and high-quality service for our patients.

You’ll work closely with the Pharmacy Manager and wider Pharmacy Operations team, helping to maintain excellent standards of care, compliance and efficiency across our pharmacy.

This is a fixed-term role working 40 hours per week, including Saturdays.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading and supporting the pharmacy team during your shifts, creating a positive and collaborative working environment
  • Coordinating daily priorities, allocating tasks and ensuring workflows run smoothly
  • Providing guidance, support and encouragement to colleagues throughout the day
  • Helping the team maintain safe, accurate and compliant working practices in line with SOPs and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting operational activities including stock management, record keeping and process improvements
  • Working closely with Pharmacy Operations to resolve queries and improve ways of working
  • Coaching and developing colleagues to build confidence, skills and capability
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, safety and patient experience
  • Leading by example and helping the team deliver an excellent service to every patient

What do you need?

  • Experience working in a pharmacy environment as a Pharmacy Assistant, Pharmacy Dispenser, Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) or similar role
  • A strong understanding of pharmacy operations, workflows and compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting colleagues, coordinating tasks or taking responsibility during busy periods
  • The confidence to make decisions, solve problems and take ownership of your work
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safe and accurate practice
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues
  • A calm, organised and proactive approach in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence using pharmacy systems and computer-based tools
  • Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends as part of the rota
  • A patient-first mindset and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality care
