Role Overview
To work within a community pharmacy team. Your role is to ensure safe handling of patients care and medication is accurately prepared and dispensed amongst the team.
Requirements
We are looking for enthusiastic Trainee Pharmacy Technician Apprentices to complete a GPhC-accredited qualification and the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Apprenticeship Standard. We are looking for someone who exhibits enthusiasm and commitment to the role and future career as a healthcare professional.

- Exhibits enthusiasm and commitment to learning and self-development
- To undertake training and prove competence in pharmaceutical duties under the direction of the Practice Supervisor in each section including:
- Accurate dispensing of prescribed items
- Accurate record keeping
- Receiving and checking the validity of medication requests e.g. prescriptions
- Handing out prescriptions and counselling patients on the use of their medicines
- Accuracy checking of prescribed items dispensed by others
- Ordering, receiving, maintaining and supplying pharmaceutical stock
- Medicines optimisation activities including drug history taking, medicines reconciliation, patient own drugs checks and advanced patient counselling
