Pharmacy Production Technician – Band 4 to Band 5 Progression Post
We are pleased to offer an exciting development opportunity within the Pharmacy Production Unit for a Pharmacy Production Technician to progress from Band 4 to Band 5 under Annex 21.
This post provides an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Pharmacy or Science Manufacturing Technician to develop their knowledge, skills and leadership capabilities across the Pharmacy Production service, including Aseptic Services, Pre-packing and Quality Control.
The successful candidate will work towards achieving the competencies and experience required to progress to a Band 5 Pharmacy Production Technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality pharmacy production services.
- Develop and maintain technical competencies across relevant production areas.
- Work in accordance with SOPs, GMP requirements, quality standards and departmental procedures.
- Support the training and development of colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Assist with quality management, audits, investigations and continuous improvement activities.
- Develop greater responsibility for day-to-day operational activities within the Production Unit

Progression from Band 4 to Band 5 will be subject to successful completion of the required competencies, training and assessment in line with the agreed Annex 21 development framework.
