Role: Pharmacy Technician

Location: The Wilmslow Hospital, Manchester

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, 0900-1700.

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive depending on experience with excellent benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at The Wilmslow Hospital, rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. As part of the world’s largest private healthcare group; located in the heart of Cheshire, The Wilmslow Hospital is a leading multi-specialty hospital bringing together experienced consultants, advanced diagnostics, and modern facilities to provide exceptional patient care. The hospital offers expert treatment across a wide range of specialties, including women's health, orthopaedics, and general medicine, supporting patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

As a key member of the Pharmacy Team, you will assist in the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service which consistently meet the needs of all service users. You will be responsible for working across all aspects of the core pharmacy operations, which may include dispensary, pharmacy procurement, stock control and management, medicines distribution and ward top-up services. You will contribute to the day to day running of the Pharmacy and will report to the Senior Pharmacy Technician with support from Lead Pharmacy Technician.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician seeking a varied and rewarding role within a small hospital pharmacy team. Perfect for a technician ready to take the next step in their career, the role offers a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, allowing you to work independently while being supported by an experienced pharmacy team.

What You’ll Bring

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • NVQ Level 3 in pharmaceutical science and BTEC Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Science, or equivalent qualification with underpinning knowledge.
  • Accredited Checking Technician
  • Experience of working within a pharmacy as a qualified technician
