Position Overview

This position is designed for a PhD graduate from a UK or US university with a strong understanding of the doctoral admissions process, academic research methodology, and scholarly communication.

You will serve as a trusted academic guide, shaping the next generation of researchers through rigorous intellectual mentorship and precise application strategy. 🌱

You will uphold the highest standards of academic excellence, ensuring that each student’s proposal, research vision, and academic portfolio reflect the expectations of top UK and US universities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review students’ CVs, personal statements, and research proposals
  • Provide detailed academic feedback aligned with UK and US academic standards
  • Refine research directions, methodologies, and logical frameworks
  • Conduct mock PhD interviews and provide structured feedback
  • Coach students on academic communication, presentation, and articulation of research motivation
  • Communicate with professors to assess supervision compatibility and guide students on professional outreach
  • Evaluate students’ understanding of their research questions and methods
  • Assess research proposal depth, logic, and feasibility, and provide systematic improvement suggestions
  • Participate in online meetings between students and supervisors when needed

Required

  • PhD from a Russell Group UK or US News Top 50 University (Social Sciences preferred but not required)
  • Experience in academic supervision, research project guidance, or journal review preferred
  • Experience guiding students through university admissions processes is highly valued
