Your network could help transform the future of farming, climate resilience and rural prosperity across Africa.

Farming shouldn't cost the Earth. It should restore it.

At Farm Africa, we believe agriculture can be a force for environmental restoration, climate resilience and economic opportunity. For more than 40 years, we have worked with farmers, communities, businesses and governments across eastern Africa to build sustainable food systems that benefit both people and planet. Today, our work reaches hundreds of thousands of people each year and generates lasting change in some of the regions most affected by poverty, food insecurity and climate change.

Now, as we prepare to launch an ambitious new strategy, we are seeking a Philanthropic Leader Trustee to help us unlock the next phase of our growth.

This is not a traditional fundraising role.

We are looking for someone with the credibility, networks and influence to open doors to transformational philanthropic relationships. Someone whose professional success has connected them to individuals, families, foundations or advisers capable of making significant investments in causes they care deeply about.

You may come from financial services, professional services, private wealth, family offices, entrepreneurship or another sector where trusted relationships matter. What is most important is that you have built a network of senior decision-makers and philanthropists, and that Farm Africa's mission resonates with you personally.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
