Latymer Upper School – London’s leading fully co-educational independent school, renowned for its academic excellence, vibrant community and innovative spirit – is seeking a Philanthropy Officer (Individual Giving). The role will manage and deliver entry-level and mid-level fundraising campaigns, actively engaging Upper and Prep School constituencies, including current and former parents, Prep families and alumni (Latymerians).

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing annual, capital and project-based fundraising appeals across both Upper and Prep Schools, targeting current parents, Prep School families, alumni (Latymerians) and former parents.
  • Sharing direct accountability with the Head of Philanthropy for achieving financial targets across all assigned annual, capital and project-based campaigns.
  • Deploying regular campaign appeals across direct mail, digital channels and telephone campaigns.
  • Conducting occasional face-to-face meetings with diverse supporters to help cultivate relationships throughout the giving cycle.
  • Writing clear, compelling copy for fundraising emails, social media posts, telephone scripts and direct mail appeal letters.
  • Spearheading the marketing and operational rollout of the 1624 Society legacy giving programme and sharing accountability for meeting new legacy notification numbers and year-on-year growth targets.
  • Scheduling, organising and planning the annual 1624 Society Tea, coordinating pipeline targets and strategic initiatives such as will-writing seminars.
  • Managing administrative tasks related to the international Latymerian Councils to support global alumni chapters.
  • Overseeing the tracking of multi-year ‘Class of’ parent collective pledge commitments.
  • Building and segmenting targeted donor distribution lists within the database to support mass marketing appeals across direct mail and digital channels.
  • Overseeing campaign tracking links and ticketing portals for fundraising events and coordinating with the web team to maintain updated internal donation forms.
  • Maintaining a regular, active in-person presence at philanthropy-led events, including running guest sign-ins, managing reception desks and supporting physical venue set-up and post-event tear-downs.
  • Assisting with other non-philanthropy events across the department on an as-needed basis.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
