You know how philanthropy works. What if the relationships you’ve built could help shift the systems that shape society?
Inside Track is a UK non-profit building confidential movements of senior professionals inside powerful industries.
People inside major organisations often understand things that are difficult to see from the outside: how decisions are really made, where power sits, which incentives shape behaviour and why meaningful change can be so difficult to achieve.
Inside Track brings those perspectives together, identifies where change may be possible and works with the people and institutions capable of influencing what happens next.
The ambition is not simply to respond to social and environmental problems. It is to understand the systems producing them and find where insight, relationships and influence can help shift them.
The model is already operating across several influential industries. Inside Track has real momentum, long-term philanthropic backing and a clear plan for its next stage of growth.
We are now looking for a Head of Philanthropy & Growth to help take it further.
The opportunity
You will work directly with the founder and have significant freedom to shape Inside Track’s approach to philanthropy.
The focus will be on building meaningful relationships with philanthropists, wealth holders, family offices and others who are interested in ambitious approaches to social and environmental change.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You will help determine who Inside Track should know, how the organisation’s story is told, where relationships should be developed and what greater philanthropic backing could make possible.
This is a hands-on role, but not one surrounded by a large fundraising hierarchy or fixed playbook.
There is enough in place to move quickly, and enough still to shape that your judgement will matter.
Who this could suit
There is no single route into the role.
You may have built your career in major gifts, individual philanthropy or development.
You may come from private wealth, family offices or philanthropic advisory.
Or you may have developed an unusual network and track record through boards, trusteeship, alumni communities or other forms of philanthropic leadership.
What matters is that you are credible with sophisticated people, understand how significant philanthropic decisions are made and can turn relationships and shared conviction into meaningful support.
You will probably bring a combination of:
- strong relationship judgement
- confidence with senior and influential people
- intellectual curiosity
- discretion
- commercial awareness
- the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
- independence of thought
- energy and follow-through
- genuine interest in how social and systemic change happens

Why Inside Track
The organisation is at an unusually interesting stage.
The idea has moved beyond theory. The work is underway, the backing is there and the organisation is growing.
But much of what Inside Track could become is still open.
The person joining will work alongside senior people from philanthropy, private wealth, industry, investment, policy and civil society, with real scope to influence how the organisation develops.
For someone who has spent years around philanthropy and significant relationships, this is a chance to apply that experience to a different question:
How can independent philanthropy help change the systems that shape society, rather than only respond to their consequences?
The role can be structured from one to four days a week, depending on the person and the shape of the opportunity.
We are more interested in finding someone exceptional than forcing the role into a predetermined mould.
