Phlebotomist Opportunity at Corner Place Surgery
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking practice. Corner Place Surgery is a well-established practice of over 16,000 patients in the heart of Paignton. We take pride in delivering high quality care whilst maintaining sustainable working conditions for the whole team. We are friendly, hardworking, innovative, enjoy working together and have an experienced team with an excellent clinical skill mix of 8 Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, 2 Clinical Pharmacist’s, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, a Paramedic and a highly trained nursing team, along with a supportive and dynamic administration team.
We are looking for a Phlebotomist with a caring nature and proactive professional manner to provide a high standard of care for our patients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with good communication skills and a commitment to working as part of a strong and effective team.

Role Overview
Working to Practice protocols, to take blood samples from patients as required by doctors or nurses. This will include INR near-patient testing and monitoring. Appropriate training will be provided if required.
Responsibilities
- To undertake additional healthcare related duties as requested, such as blood pressure monitoring, according to protocols provided and completion of appropriate training.
- To maintain accurate computer records.
- To actively participate in clinical and practice meetings.
- To keep the Treatment Room in a clean and tidy state in accordance with the Practice Infection Control standards.
- To process and record specimens for courier collection.
- To undertake other duties as and when required.
- Please note that there is a requirement to be flexible and help to provide cover for holidays and sickness.
