Picture Desk Executive

Job Overview

The Picture Desk Executive manages and maintains high-quality imagery and associated content across digital channels, ensuring customer-facing visual content is accurate, engaging, on-brand and appropriately licensed. The role is responsible for sourcing, processing and optimising product and destination imagery, maintaining image metadata and ensuring visual content meets agreed quality, brand and publishing standards.

Monday – Thursday (30 hours per week)

Role accountabilities

Image Content Delivery

  • Manage image requests, updates and publication within agreed priorities and timescales.
  • Proactively source, select, prepare and upload high-quality product and destination imagery to the CMS, ensuring the best available images are displayed across customer-facing channels.

Image Quality, Brand Safety & Governance

  • Maintain the quality and integrity of imagery and associated metadata, ensuring content complies with corporate brand guidelines, publishing standards and licensing requirements.
  • Regularly review and audit imagery, including direct connect content, proactively identifying opportunities to improve image quality and removing assets where licences have expired.

Image Requests & Stakeholder Support

  • Respond to image requirements from internal stakeholders, providing appropriate imagery to brief and within agreed timescales.
  • Work collaboratively with relevant teams and external image providers to ensure visual content requirements are understood and delivered effectively.

Knowledge / Skills

  • Experience working within a Picture Desk, digital content, ecommerce, publishing or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of image sourcing, selection, editing and digital publishing.
  • Experience using Content Management Systems (CMS) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate imagery, metadata and location data.
  • Good understanding of image copyright, licensing and usage requirements.
  • Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Business Expertise

  • Understanding of how high-quality imagery contributes to customer experience, engagement and commercial performance.
  • Understanding of the importance of accurate metadata within digital customer journeys.

Problem Solving

  • Balances multiple image requests and content priorities to ensure delivery within agreed timescales.
  • Escalates significant content, licensing or operational issues where appropriate.
  • Supports the quality, integrity and consistency of customer-facing visual content.
  • Ensures accurate image metadata support effective digital content and customer journeys.

Communication

  • Builds collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and relevant business teams.
  • Responds to image briefs and content requests, ensuring requirements and delivery timescales are understood.

  • This role provides a hybrid working access from the comforts of your own home and only going to our state-of-the-art office in Crawley (2) days per week (Mondays and Thursday).
